the three pillars of exposure: aperture, iso, shutter speed

APERTURE

F2.8 Aperture setting
F16 aperture setting

1. The human eye.
2. The smaller aperture, the higher f number and the higher aperture the smaller f number.
3. Aperture impacts depth of field because it can make a photographer much more sharper by blurring out the background.

SHUTTERSPEED

High shutter speed

Slow shutter speed
REASONABLE LIGHT
A. Fast
B. Fast
C. Medium
D. Medium
E. Slow
F. Fast

DARK
A. fast
B. fast
C. medium
D. medium
E. slow
F. slow

There are two ways to manually set the shutter speed: Shutter priority mode, where you set the shutter speed and the camera selects the aperture by itself. Manuel mode, where you set both shutter speed and aperture manually. Aperture Priority mode, you set the lens aperture, while the camera sets the shutter speed by itself.
ISO

 iso: 200

 iso: 3200
1. You can have intensely clear photos depending on iso.
2. When there is plenty of light, you should always use the lowest ISO, to retain the most detail and to have the highest image quality.
3. You should increase the ISO when there is not enough light for the camera to be able to quickly capture an image.

Great Black and White photographers part 3

1.) What first caught your eye while looking at your photographers photos? Is there something in particular about their photos that made you want to choose them?

2.) Look at those 2 photos you posted last time in the assignment Great Black and White Photographers Part 2. Use your five senses to tell me more about those photos. Answer them on your blog.
  1. Great Black and White Photographers
The odd viewpoint of the mountain caught my attention in this photo, i was drawn in by it.

The waterfall first caught my eye in this photo, and i love the black and white scenery of such a large scaled nature scene.

GREAT BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHERS TOO

This photo drew me in with the random women placed throughout the photo, they had caught my eye. I like the era that this photo was taken in. You can see these women and the workers below, you can feel the older times pulling you in, i can hear the yelling of merchants and business men.

This photo drew me in with the nazi camp look alike, i am very interested in the holocaust. I can feel the anger and hatred emitting from the prisoner. I can see the tension between the two and smell the stench of 100 filthy prisoners. i can touch the heart of those in the suits to only feel nothing but emptiness. This photo truly speaks.

Id like to create a photo that shows the true love between the people at akins high school because we truly our a family and hurt together when we lose classmates.
